All USF students also receive free admission to 17 men's and women's varsity sports, including football.

Whether you're transferring from a community college or another four-year institution, USF offers an affordable route to completing your bachelor's degree at a top-ranked institution. Although your application does not need to include a personal essay or a letter of recommendation, these materials can help us understand your personality, goals, and any life challenges you've overcome on your way to USF.

You Can Apply to USF in Four Easy Steps

STEP 1

Complete and submit the online application at admissions.usf.edu/application.

STEP 2

Pay the nonrefundable $30 application fee or submit an application fee waiver.

STEP 3

Send your official transcript(s) to USF. High School Students: Ask your school to send transcripts to USF electronically. If this option is not available, official transcripts for all three USF campuses should be mailed to:

GED Students: Request an official transcript through GED Testing Services.
Home-School Students: Complete our Home School Transcript Template if an official transcript is not available.

For students with less than 60 transferrable credits, complete these additional steps:

Submit your official high school transcript(s) to USF.

STEP 5

Submit your official SAT or ACT scores to USF. USF's code is 5828 for SAT and 0761 for ACT.

As a transfer student at USF, you won't sacrifice education quality for cost. Besides offering one of the lowest tuition rates in the country, we strive to reduce the cost of college even further with generous scholarship options.

USF Scholarship Options

Admissions Scholarships for Transfer Students

When you apply for admission and submit all supporting documents by March 1, the Office of Admissions will AUTOMATICALLY consider you for merit-based admissions scholarships for up to $5,000. There’s nothing else you need to do to qualify.
