Students stay physically active with award-winning recreation centers, swimming pools, fitness classes, watersports and more. We feature on-campus medical clinics and counseling services to keep students healthy inside and out. Plus, we feature numerous other services, such as career counseling, tutoring and financial education, to ensure our students finish their degrees ready to take the next big step.

An average day at USF is anything but average. Across our three locations, students enjoy 1,000+ on-campus events each year, from concerts and celebrity guest lectures to movies and art exhibits. This includes special cultural events where we come together to celebrate USF's global diversity and learn about our rich student body made up of students from across the world. All USF students also receive free admission to 18 men’s and women’s varsity sports.

We Want Your Student at USF

When students apply, we look at the whole picture: Their GPA, the courses they completed in high school, and their SAT or ACT scores. Students do not need to include a personal essay or a letter of recommendation, but these materials can help us understand an applicant’s personality and goals.

On the application, students can select Tampa, St. Petersburg or Sarasota-Manatee as their home campus to earn a degree from Florida’s only Preeminent State Research University located in a metropolitan area. Your students do not have to sacrifice education quality for cost. Although USF offers one of the lowest tuition rates in the country, we strive to reduce the cost of college even further with generous scholarship options.

USF Scholarship Options

Admissions Scholarships

When your student applies for admission by the designated Freshmen Scholarship Deadline, the Office of Admissions will AUTOMATICALLY consider them for merit-based admissions scholarships ranging from $8,000 - $16,000 for in-state students and $4,000 - $44,000 for out-of-state students. There's nothing else they need to do to qualify.

Best of all, your students do not need to search through them all.
